COSTS TO SHIP TO CANADA
Costs associated with shipping to Canada can be confusing. Here is a breakdown to give you an idea of what to expect when you order a product from us. (All prices shown below are in US dollars.)
ORDERING
When you order a product from us, on the checkout page, you will be charged a shipping price.
We will ship your the package by FedEx (we normally only ship USPS if it is a small item such as a set of number magnets.)
UPON RECEIPT OF THE PACKAGE
When the package arrives, you will receive a bill from FedEx. This bill is not for additional shipping charges. It is for charges such as duties, taxes and fees that FedEx collects and remits to the the Canadian government, the customs office, etc.
CHARGES YOU MOST LIKELY WILL SEE ON YOUR BILL
1) Clearance Entry Fee*: 17 CAD - 54 CAD
2) HST taxes**: The HST rate is 15% in all participating provinces except Ontario, where it is 13%.
3) Disbursement fee***: 2% for every $100 in value
*Clearance Entry Fee: This is the fee that FedEx charges to arrange the clearance services - processing the paperwork required by the Canada Customs and Border Protection.
Generally the Clearance Entry Fee starts at about 17CAD for a package valued at 50CAD, to 32CAD for a package valued at 200CAD
**HST taxes: We do not collect Sales Tax that your Province charges. FedEx collects it and remits it to your government

*Northern Canada
Northern Canada provinces are subject to Fedex’s Northern Canada Surcharge: an additional charge applies for packages destined to the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Labrador. This surcharge applies to postal codes including, but not limited to, A0K, A0P-A0R, A2V and X0A-Y9Z
